Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican American broadcaster. She works for ESPN and works as the SportsCenter News Anchor. She joined ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta was bilingual from when she was nine years old. It is this skill which helped her obtain her first role as an Univision Production Assistant in Miami. She worked with the producers of national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her next job was as a Sports Reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. Then, in 2009 the reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. The station also frequently asked her to serve as anchors for the weather and sports. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed other duties. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was the producer of Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor herself. She was promoted as anchoring sports for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The same role she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports channel). Antonietta Collins was born and raised in the city of Veracruz, Mexico. In Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. Her older sister is also hers. The family moved from Mexico to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. In the course of a few months, her father split from her mother. She was subsequently remarried by 1995 naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. It was during a holiday in the summer that she lived with her younger sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured an employment. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school, however she knew the things she wanted to be doing. Then she was enthralled with the campus. They also offered her a the opportunity to study a major. She completed her schooling and was accepted to the University as a major of media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor and director of WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Her professor urged her to be confident and was deeply moved by his enthusiasm for journalism.
